Our Charitable Work

Dallas Neighbourhood House is dedicated to ensuring all members of the community can participate fully in society. Our purpose is to provide relief from the poverty, misfortune and distress suffered by those in the community due to their socio-economic status, age, or status as a refugee or asylum seeker.

We do this by offering educational programs, social activities, and individual or family support services.

Some of our charitable activities include:

• Food relief for individuals and families experiencing financial hardship

• Personal hygiene and care packages

• Discounted and free courses and activities to alleviate loneliness and facilitate social connection

• Information, referral and advocacy for people negotiating with utility companies and other financial services providers

 

Our charitable services are unfunded. We rely on fundraising and the generosity of individuals and businesses in our wonderful community to help us provide these services.
